Intro to radio

BBC Sounds  1) The article suggests that BBC radio is in rude health as it has half the national market with dozens of stations reaching more than 34 million a week. The problem is that ever since the BBC was founded almost a century ago it has been based around an era of broadcasting that was designed towards a comprehensive offering, a shared listening and then viewing experience. 2) Theres only a percentage of just 3% of under 35s use the iplayer catch up radio app which will soon be axed. 3) BBC sounds is a new app and website that brings radio live streams, catch-up services, music mixes and podcasts all together. 4) Audiences nowadays listen to radio content through they're phones on several apps like Spotify and Apple podcast. 5) Jason Philips suggests that theres a need to reconsider entire tone of how the BBC tells stories shifting away from rigid formality.   Research 1)  Topic: Planet Earth 2 - The first episode of Planet earth 2 seems to mainly be about the two seas that lie on either side of Saudi Arabia. They use several action codes like the fast montage of various types of fish to show the viewer what they should be expecting if they decide to keep watching the documentary. David Attenborough compares both the seas talking about how one side is beautiful and flamboyant and the other is secretive and tougher. This both juxtaposes the two seas and creates a binary opposition within this documentary to keep the audience invested in it. David Attenborough tries to use enthralling language throughout the documentary to keep people enticed in the video. They present some of the predators as antagonists who stand in the way of the prey who could be seen as protagonists.
