Ignite presentation Learner Response

Personal Life vs Work Life Research (through the presentation and your blog): 4 TV Documentary Concept: 3 Language- Terminology and theory: 3 Representations: 2 Audience and industry: 3 Delivery: 3 18 (out of 30) Great topic- So relevant to modern life. But you'll need to make this into a focused doc! Some good research and great to see a plan for opening to doc. A range of interviews makes sense but need to plan this element specifically as the interviews will be crucial. Other elements of media language mentioned briefly but you'll need a little more on this min your statement of intent. BBC1 fits with mainstream element of topic. Digital convergence will need a little more detail in statement of intent. Not sure on camera movement- Make sure you are using documentary conventions. Good to see audience theory and agree with the two elements you've focused on Binary opposition also a good theory for this  Handles Q+A well and answers some good questions in some depth. WWW

Research 1)  Topic: Planet Earth 2 - The first episode of Planet earth 2 seems to mainly be about the two seas that lie on either side of Saudi Arabia. They use several action codes like the fast montage of various types of fish to show the viewer what they should be expecting if they decide to keep watching the documentary. David Attenborough compares both the seas talking about how one side is beautiful and flamboyant and the other is secretive and tougher. This both juxtaposes the two seas and creates a binary opposition within this documentary to keep the audience invested in it. David Attenborough tries to use enthralling language throughout the documentary to keep people enticed in the video. They present some of the predators as antagonists who stand in the way of the prey who could be seen as protagonists. The disequilibrium is caused once a predator attacks the prey (e.g. the titan trigger fish attacking the star fish), after the star fish escapes the new equilibrium is form

However it seems that right now we dont have a lot of black consciousness, love and awareness. Factsheet 1

Music video- The specials: Ghost town

1) The writer links the song back to cinematic soundtracks in order to reflect and engender anxiety  2) 2 Tone emerged from the mod and punk subcultures in a stylistic sense. Its foundations were ska and the related Rocksteady. 3) The social contexts that were discussed regarding the late 1981 was that England was hit by a recession and riots were breaking out across its urban areas. Young people, black and white, were deprived angry and forgotten. Left to fend for themselves, many of them were unemployed and got into pitch battles with the police. 4)I believe the most eerie thing about ghost town is the cold and empty environments with only the performers ever being on screen and whenever they give you a perspective outside it all seems cold and unwelcoming. Especially at the night portion of the video where this eerie feeling is a lot more intensified during scenes like they're shadows fighting. 5) The writer suggests that the meanings created from this music video are the mournf
