Media Cinematography Practical

This video was made on my phone (Which has terrible quality) and I filmed it in a classroom with a friend. The aim was to make a video revolving around a person stealing someone's wallet with a decent amount of camera shots. As the video progresses I tried to make the movement of the camera and its transitions faster as a way to raise the excitement of the scene. Each scene with the newspaper in focus had some kind of political figure or debate. In retrospect, the 2 close ups I used may have been to quick now that I look back at it since they should be important shots for the viewers.

I really like the choice of still image to analyse and you’ve also picked out some good elements of the mise-en-scene in the Get Out scene. You’ve written in some detail for those first two blog tasks and that’s something you want to continue and build on as the course develops because A Level is a very demanding standard. EBI: The isolation and illness going around this half-term have made things very tricky but it’s now crucial that we get back on top of the workload because constantly being behind makes for a tough year. 1)  Clockwork Orange-  The music choice isn't what I would expect from this type of scene from that movie with all the chaos going on around it as the guy hits them all into the water and holds a knife. I believe the director chose this music to show us what hes thinking not just from there internal monologue but through non diagetic sound. The characters mind sees his actions as methodical and planned so everything going on is within his control.   Funny Games- At the beginning the music seems to be parallel to whats going on in the scene with a nice calm and classic song maybe trying to show that the family is just your everyday normal group of people. Then near the middle the music takes a drastic shift and becomes contrapuntel to whats going on.
