Regulation: Film industries

 1) The BBFC is responsible for guiding families to films that's alright for them to view and help them avoid what isn't. There work must be impartial when deciding the age rating for films and there process for classifying content is always changing. They must consider whether the content provided is against the law (Animal cruelty, obscenity, indecent images of youth etc).  Its an independent non governmental body funded by charged fees. (Film distributors have always paid a fee to have their work rated) 2) The BBFC classifies films using the BBFC classification guidelines and the compliance manager usually approves of the decision. If the compliance manager doesn't then they show the film to other members of the BBFC or ask for specialist advice about the legal ambiguity of the film. British Film industry

 1) A British film is a film that has been made and funded by British people and contains our values and beliefs. 2) Most films with a Hollywood production context have high budgets with a reliance on celebrities and a spectacle driven story. While films with a British production context cant be categorized properly as it can either be a large budget high concept film (e.g. Harry Potter deathly hallows) or character driven low budget films (Kill list). 3)The James bond franchise started in 1962 4) The 1970s saw a rise in sexual and violent content in the film industry with it also being criticised and scrutinised by people.
