4) The 1970s saw a rise in sexual and violent content in the film industry with it also being criticised and scrutinised by people. In the 1980s filmmaking being more accessible to people and more extreme content was created with it finding it's way into London.

1) To be classed as a British film the movie must at least hit 16 out of 30 cultural points.
3) The problems with British films are: In order to get the films exhibited they must sell there distribution rights which means the revenue they make wont be reinvested into more British films. Also although the films are unique and diverse they'll never be able to compete with high end hollywood movies with big budgets. Lastly it's very risky as although American production companies can survive a weak box office British film producers cannot and one failure could lead to the company going bankrupt.
4) The strengths of British films are: Great creative skills from practitioners, its outstanding facilities and great writers
5) The British film industry has two options. Either rely on American co production or for British films to target a Niche.
6) I believe choosing to target a niche would be the best option as it would allow us to keep what makes British films British without making our movies lose their culture.
