TV assessment Learner Response

 1) WWW- You make a lot of good points across both questions and now need to expand them to add the depth and detail demanded for the top levels. E.g. Your D83 paragraph on reality is great but only 3 sentences long.

EBI- Develop longer paragraphs that explore aspects of the question in more depth with examples from the CSP's and media theories. - Capital is much weaker than D83 in this essay so revise/practice that area.

2) Missed points for each question

  1. The main central image suggests a bridge between James Bond and Austin Powers (Bond parody) with tower bridge in the background referencing London as the location
  2. Capital has been accused of Left wing bias for its negative representation of wealth/upper middle class and has a positive representation of multiculturalism and illegal immigrants. Deutschland 83 is structured between the binary oppositions of East and West Germany.
3)Bricolage is the combining of two different materials/texts to create a new meaning.
Pastiche is a faithful reconstruction of a media text.
Intertextuality is when the conventions of one genre are alluded to in another

4) First paragraph would be an introduction to the CSP's i'd use. Then i would do a paragraph explaining how Capital, a state of the nation show, reflects London as a whole represents London accurately and tries to mirror reality with explicit references to recent events and social contexts. After that i would do a paragraph on how D83 is a lot different since it's representations can be questionable depending on how you view the east and west Germany.

5) The three topics i believe i need to revise are D83, representation questions and perhaps a bit more about left wing and right wing
