Post modernism and Deutschland

 1) The example used for the breakdown of the distinction between culture and society section is Bruno and Borat. These characters have more reality for film audiences then their creator sacha boren Cohen. Cohens films rely on the fact that their characters they create are seen as "real people". 2) Historical deafness is the idea of mediazation increasing so the culture itself starts losing a sense of historical context. Deutschland could be applied to this as they blur the line between real and fake events that transpired in the cold war. 3) The examples provided for the idea of style over substance was Big brother as many celebrities are famous for the sake of being famous rather then an identifiable talent or ability. 4) The examples given from music for the breakdown of the distinction between art and popular culture was pop music which was low art and classical music being high art. High art such as opera, ballet theatre and the visual arts were only acceptable to elite ...

Film Industry Assessment LR

 1) WWW: This is a strong assessment which shows good knowledge of the film industry and CSP. It also has the potential to secure even higher marks with just a couple of minor improvements and additional details. I particularly like your discussion in Q3 regarding why Blinded By The Light may have been less successful. EBI: The BBFC question is very close but you make it sound like the guidance is for the industry/filmmakers where primarily the BBFC rating and content guidance is for the audience. For Q2, you just needed a bit more detail to your answer – for the interviews strategy, say who the interviews were with and where they appeared (e.g. writer Sarfraz Manzoor on The One Show on BBC1). Q3 is a strong answer and in terms of quantity perfect for a 9-mark question. The only thing keeping it from the top band in the mark scheme is specific reference to Blinded By The Light’s industry contexts. You needed a bit more than the initial box office figures and perhaps more of a...

Medical (Holby City), The periods/Costume (Rome), Science fiction/Sci Fi (legion), Family (My Wife and Kids), Teen (13 Reasons Why). 4) Serial TV dramas are defined by there setting as its where the ensemble of characters inhabit each episode. In shows like lost characters may come and go but the setting is usually the only stagnant feature. This means the show is based around the location the characters are based in rather then being based on the characters them...

 1) The BBFC is responsible for guiding families to films that's alright for them to view and help them avoid what isn't. There work must be impartial when deciding the age rating for films and there process for classifying content is always changing. (Film distributors have always paid a fee to have their work rated) 2) The BBFC classifies films using the BBFC classification guidelines and the compliance manager usually approves of the decision. If the compliance manager doesn't then they show the film to other members of the BBFC or ask for specialist advice about the legal ambiguity of the film. Compliance officers usually look at issues such as sex, violence, drugs, bad language and discrimination. 3) The BBFC outlines there guidelines for the public and the industry, these guideli...
